irix is proud to announce that the irix Kuching 1 DC @Santubong Data Centre has officially acquired the Tier IV Certification of Constructed Facility (TCCF) from Uptime Institute. This prestigious recognition makes irix Kuching 1 DC @Santubong the first Tier IV-certified Data Centre in Malaysia, setting a new benchmark for excellence and reliability in the region's digital infrastructure.
This milestone follows an earlier achievement on 20 October 2021, when irix was awarded the Tier IV Certification of Design Documents (TCDD) from Uptime Institute. The TCDD certification is a critical first step in the rigorous Tier certification process, verifying that irix’s Data Centre’s design meets the stringent standards required for Tier IV accreditation.

Redefining Industry Standards
The design, construction, and transfer of irix Kuching 1 DC @Santubong Data Centre were executed by our partner, SASA Data Centres, delivering the first facility of its kind in the region. Powered by Sarawak’s sustainable hydroelectric system, irix’s Data Centre operates at exceptionally low Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) levels, further cementing its position as a complete green facility. irix Kuching 1 DC @Santubong employs a closed-loop cooling system, eliminating dependency on external providers and additional water sources.
