On 23 August 2024, irix Sdn. Bhd. officially took over the BaSICS (Batam – Sarawak Internet Cable System) from FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies Co., Ltd. This handover marks a significant milestone in enhancing regional connectivity across Southeast Asia and advancing digital infrastructure.
The BaSICS project is a collaborative effort that links Batam, Indonesia, and Sarawak, Malaysia, with high-capacity, low-latency internet connections.
